Living Life As A Newlywed

Now that I am no longer planning a wedding (which btw I can't tell you how happy I am about this)I don't need a blog called Planning Our Wedding. I have decided even though I didn't have a lot of followers on my wedding blog that I would not give up blogging and am working on a new blog.

The new blog is titled Living Life As A Newlywed and will consist of me writing about everyday life and my journey as a new wife interested to see if married life changes things after being with each other for 7 years and living together before marriage. I encourage all the 14 people who follow me now (not a joke) to please start following me on my new blog. This is definitely going to be a change for me trying to figure out something interesting to write instead of writing about our wedding plans.

My first post will be about our fabulous honeymoon so go check it out!!!!!!!!!!! Like Now! Go!!!!!!!!!!!

Went from Being a Ms. to a Mrs.

Well hello lovelies!

Oh how I've missed thee. Well I am finally back from our honeymoon and am now Mrs. Heather A. Lopez!!!!!! The wedding was beautiful! I have to first say that everything went by soooooooooo fast, most of it is a total blur.

So I got up early that morning and we had our hair appointments that started at 9 a.m. Then after our hair was done we went to one of my bridesmaids house to get our makeup done. Then around 2:30 p.m. I headed to the venue to finish setting up what I needed to set up. Around 3 is when the bridal party arrived at the venue to get ready. It was very hard for me to stay in the back room and not have control of what needed to be done. Trusting friends to give the flowers to the right grandparents and parents, etc. etc.

Once it was time to start walking out, I got soooooooooo nervous and couldnt believe this was finally happening. As soon as I get to the aisle runner to walk down I LOST it!!!!!!!!!!! I mean completely lost it!!!!!!!!!!! I was crying like a baby. I can't even tell you why! I didn't notice anything except for Joey. I didn't see the people in the aisles, our wedding party or even the flowers on the ground. My face was sooooo red and I must say I was taken totally off guard by it.

The ceremony was beautiful but we did have just a few blunders. The first was our vows.  I found the vows that I wanted us to say from online. As soon as I saw it I knew it was perfect for us. Its a little non traditional and contemporary and a little long. Here is what we vowed to each other:

I, ______, choose you, ______, to be my wife/husband. I love you. You are my best friend. Today I give myself to you in marriage. I promise to encourage and inspire you, to laugh with you, and to comfort you in times of sorrow and struggle. I promise to love you in good times and in bad, when life seems easy and when it seems hard, when our love is simple, and when it is an effort. I promise to cherish you, and to always hold you in highest regard. These things I give to you today, and all the days of our life.

So at some point when I'm saying my vow I have to get the pastor to repeat the sentence 2x!!!!!!!! Not just once but twice. I'm telling you I was a wreck. The next blunder was our outer candles for our unity candle wasnt lit. So when it got time to light the candle we had to stop and ask someone for a lighter! LOL

Other than that the night was great. Just wish it wouldn't have gone by soooo fast. It will be a little while before I get our wedding pictures but here is a sneak peek!
