Processional (Parents & Bridal Party Walk in): Butterfly Waltz (Brian Crain)

Tisk Task Tuesday {4.13.10}

Countdown: 11 days!!!!!!

That's right only a few more days and we're down to single digits! Isn't that just crazy! Well first let me say I still haven't received my dress yet. I should get it tomorrow but not gonna hold my breath. I met with my dress lady yesterday and did get to see the top of my dress finished and it is beautiful! She is still working on the bottom part of my dress.

This weekend I went to stay the weekend with my foster parents and was very very busy. Friday, me and my foster mom worked on my favors. We decided to do Navy blue boxes with white Jordan Almonds inside and a white bow on top. Well let me just say someone should have told me ahead of time that the boxes were not going to come already made. Yep that's right they came looking like this:

So me and my foster mom had to put all 125 of them together. Then stuff them with the almonds then put the bows on them. Here is a pic of the final product:

We did get them all finished on Friday thank goodness. Then on Saturday we were up early for a long busy day ahead of us. We went to Memorial City Mall and I had a makeup trial at Clinique. They did an awesome job! They always do. They did my makeup for prom 7 years ago! We decided to buy the makeup that we used and then I will still get my cousins friend to do it for me using my makeup instead of the MAC products she used to make sure its a lot more natural. Since I dont do black eyeliner we decided to do blue eyeshadow for they eyes with a slate eyeliner then a nice pink blush and a nude color for the lips. Here is pic:

My foster mom also bought me the roceasa cleansing line that Clinique has and it is so soothing and it seems to be helping. So I decided not to have a facial since we have less than a week for the wedding and because I have never had one before I am not sure how it will affect my skin. Better to be safe than sorry.

So after tons of shopping at the mall, we headed to get my hair trimmed and highlighted. I was so glad to get home and relax but had a fabulous weekend and am soooo ready for this wedding already!

Wedding Wednesday: Makeup Trial

Last night I had my makeup trial. My wonderful cousin and Matron of Honor was able to get one of her friends to do all of my girls and my makeup for the wedding day. She is even driving to one of my bridesmaids house who lives down the street from the venue to make it easier on us since we are all coming from different places. And the best part is she's only charging $20 per girl.

She did a fabulous job on me. First I have to say that my face is going through something right now at the worst possible time and so i'm doing everything I can to get it better. As for those that don't know I just found out in January that I have Rosacea. Rosacea is a chronic skin condition involving inflammation of the cheeks, nose, chin, forehead, or eyelids. It may appear as redness, prominent spider-like blood vessels, swelling, or skin eruptions similar to acne. For me it appears as redness pretty much all over my face. There is no known cure for rosacea. The goal is to identify and avoid possible triggers, and thus reduce flare-ups. Antibiotics taken by mouth (such as tetracycline, minocycline, or doxycycline) or applied to the skin (such as metronidazole) may control skin eruptions.

When I went to the dermatologist in January to try to help the problem before the wedding I was put on an antibiotic and given certain creams for my face. When I went back in February, it hadn't gotten any better so I was told to stay on the antibiotic and given another face cream to try. Since I've started this in January, my face has gotten sooooooo dry and even though I put moisturizer on before I put my makeup on it always cracks. So I have stopped taking all of my medicine in hopes that it will help.

So this weekend my goal is to get a facial which ive never had before b/c i have sensitive skin to try to see if it will help. I am also going to get Clinique's Moisture Surge and try to find a good foundation for dry skin. Hopefully taking these steps will help.

So with all that said here is the final product of my makeup trial from last night. Again I am going with a more natural look. My coloring that day will consists of pinks. I will be changing the eyeliner from a black to a gray slate color and a little less blush.

Tisk Task Tuesday

Countdown: 18 days

Joey and I can now legally get married!!!Yesterday Joey and I went and got our marriage license!!!!!!!!! I had it in my head we were gonna have to fill out all this paperwork when in fact it was the easiest thing ive ever done! We just sat there while they asked some questions and we paid and that was it. We were out of there in 10 minutes!

My makeup trial that I was supposed to have this weekend got rescheduled to tonight. If I like it I will post a pic up tomorrow. Then tomorrow I am supposed to finally pick up my dress and the rest of my bridesmaids dresses. I am praying that they will be ready tomorrow. Remember I haven't seen mine yet at all!!!!!!! So just a little nervous.

This weekend Im headed to Katy to spend the weekend with my foster parents and help put together our favors that came in last week. I also have an appointment to get my highlights and a trim. I might also have another makeup trial at Clinique to see which one I like the best. Sometime this week I need to start putting my ceremony music on cds and start breaking in my wedding shoes.

Well thats all for this week. More to come later.
